Due to a tweet I received yesterday I posted a video which included my current thoughts on anti-porn activist Shelley Lubben (which I later deleted after the person stated they viewed the video). However upon receiving an email today from someone claiming to be from Ghana who for whatever reason thought that they had the right to tell me how to live my life as a “Christian”, I decided to make another video today to reiterate the content of the video I deleted yesterday. I do not harbor any ill will towards Shelley Lubben and in hindsight I should have educated myself a bit more as to who she was before agreeing to appear in a cinematic work I was recruited for (by Ari Scott Bass and other people attached to the Free Speech Coalition ) which claims to be about her life and history. Shelley Lubben helped my realize that my words hold weight, that my life experience matters and that I have the right to stand up for what I believe in. I do not want to be equated to Shelley Lubben and I do not like being equated to Shelley Lubben because my life experience (aside from my time in pornography) does not parallel hers. In addition I’m not an anti-porn activist – as I believe the concept of pornography is artistic freedom of speech. I’m anti-abuse and anti-organized crime. I wish Shelley Lubben the best in all she does and I feel she missed her calling as a mainstream Hollywood actress – she’s a very intelligent and talented individual.
